Construction for the new Navy Yard Courtyard by Marriott was completed and the hotel opened in 2006. The hotel is a 14-story 204 key hotel located in Washington DC.

A major component to the project’s success was the award of a $10 million Tax Increment Financing grant from the District. It was the result of three years of lobbying the various facets of the city’s government to support the revitalization of the neighborhood.
