The Eliza and New York Public Library Inwood Branch

Developed in partnership with Children’s Village, Community League Of the Heights (CLOTH) and Alembic Community Development. This project will be constructed to offer 100% affordable housing units to the community along with a state of the art New York Public Library.

The Eliza Apartments will provide 174 permanently and deeply affordable apartments for the Northern Manhattan community along with a new 3-K school. The building will feature a residents-only 20,000 square foot amenity area on the top floor including a lounge, gym, laundry room, and terrace. The building will also feature a green roof with programming coordinated through Harlem Grown. The Eliza Apartments are part of the redevelopment of the Inwood Library, which will transform the existing library site into a brand-new, state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot library, a Universal Pre-K center, the ACTS Center with job training, classes, and cultural activities for the community, and a STEM Center with programming from First Robotics.
